A site can have one or several users with the roles site administrator and/or configurator.


Site administrator

A system user that administers a particular site in Infobric Site. This user can add other site administrators and/or configurators, create person groups and schedules to handle permissions, and add new users to sites. Configurator

A system user that configures the site and its units. Read the Quick guide for Configurators if you want to learn more about this role, it can be found at the end of this article.


Add a site administrator or configurator to your site

A site administrator can add system users to their site provided that they are already created within the system client in question. To add a new system user a user administrator must be contacted. The user administrator is responsible for creating new system users, among other things. Follow these steps to add or remove a site administrator and/or configurator:

  1. Choose your site in the Site section at the top left corner of the interface. If you only have access to one site this will be preselected.

  2. Click the Site settings button in the top menu. The Site window is shown.

  3. Click the option System Users at the top left of the interface. Two lists are shown, one with site administrators and one with configurators.

  4. Click the option Add site administrator or Add configurator in the menu. A window where you can choose which system users to add is now shown.

  5. Select the user in the list. You can filter the list by first name and surname. If the user is missing from the list, you need to contact a user administrator on the site. They can create new system users.

  6. Click Add. The system user is now shown with the other site administrators and/or configurators on the site.

  7. Click OK. The window closes.

  8. Click Save and close when you are done. The window closes.

Remove a site administrator or configurator from your site

If you want to remove a site administrator or configurator from a site, this can be done from the same place in the interface where they are added. Click on the red cross at the far right belonging to the system user you want to remove, and press Save and close. The connection between this system user and the site is now removed. The user is however still present in Infobric Site, and available for addition to the site again or to other sites.
